Getting Started

From zero to your first trade in under 10 minutes. This guide walks you through account creation, wallet setup, and the complete trade flow.

1

Create Your Account

Visit app.localusdt.app and choose how you'd like to authenticate:

  • Email: Enter your email address, receive a 6-digit code, and verify it. No password required — we use one-time codes for security.
  • Web3 Wallet: Connect MetaMask or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet. Sign a message to prove ownership — no transaction or gas fee required.

Both methods create a non-custodial wallet for you. Your private keys are generated in your browser and encrypted with your credentials.

2

Set Up Your Profile

Choose a display name — this is how other traders will see you. Select your preferred USDT network (Tron, Ethereum, or BNB Smart Chain).

Your profile builds trust over time. Every completed trade adds to your trade count and feedback score, visible to other traders when they view your offers.

3

Browse or Create an Offer

To buy USDT: Browse sell offers. Filter by network, payment method, and currency. Click an offer to see the full details and start a trade.

To sell USDT: Create a sell offer specifying your price, limits, accepted payment method, and trade terms. Wait for a buyer to accept.

You can also create buy offers if you'd like sellers to come to you.

4

Complete the Trade

Once a trade is opened, the seller funds the escrow smart contract. The buyer then makes payment using the agreed method (bank transfer, cash deposit, etc.) and uploads proof.

Trade Shield automatically analyzes the payment proof and generates a confidence checklist. The seller reviews the checklist and releases the escrow when satisfied.

The entire process is secured by non-custodial smart contracts and end-to-end encrypted messaging. Learn more about Trade Shield →

Tips for Your First Trade

  • 1.Start small. Your first trade should be a small amount while you get familiar with the process.
  • 2.Check the trader's reputation. Look at their trade count and positive feedback percentage before accepting an offer.
  • 3.Use Trade Shield. Upload payment proof and check the confidence checklist before releasing escrow.
  • 4.Communicate. Use the encrypted chat to confirm details with your trading partner.
  • 5.Never release escrow without confirming payment. Check your bank or payment app directly — don't rely solely on screenshots.
